The National Fuel Pass system in Sri Lanka, relaunched on March 15, 2026, requires vehicle owners to register at fuelpass.gov.lk to receive a QR code for weekly fuel quotas.
Registration requires NIC/passport, mobile number, vehicle number, and chassis number.
You can visit following website to register your vehicle or view your QR code. Also users can update details via a new ‘Override’ feature.
How to Login
STEP 01: Press the Vehicle Login Button to access QR code (Old Codes are available, if Vehicle/Number does not change or if it is not a new vehicle).

STEP 02: Log in using the mobile number you used earlier.

STEP 03: Download/Send your QR code or Delete Profile.

New Fuel QR Override Feature
The Ministry of Digital Economy has introduced a new ‘Override’ feature in the fuel QR system to make it easier for vehicle owners to access their QR codes, especially in cases where the vehicle was previously registered under another phone number or the old number is no longer active.
Here’s how it works
- Visit the official portal: fuelpass.gov.lk
- Enter your vehicle number and chassis number to verify ownership.
- Select the “Override” option to cancel any existing registration.
- Re-register the vehicle under your current phone number.
What happens after override
- The previous account and all associated data are removed from the system.
- A new account is activated immediately for the current owner.
- Previous users lose any access or privileges linked to that vehicle.
- Eliminates the need to contact previous owners.
- Resolves issues caused by inactive or changed phone numbers.
- Simplifies QR registration for second-hand vehicle buyers.
- This update ensures rightful owners can now obtain their fuel QR codes without delays or inconvenience.
- For any issues, users can contact support via WhatsApp at 076 000 1919.
